General:

The New Business department develops new opportunities together with customers and suppliers to further develop our growth as a company to build a greener world in energy.

At this moment we are managing a project for US customer. As a project engineer, you are asked to coordinate project activities (internally and with the customer) and actively deliver these activities in timely manner. The primary location is in our offices in Heerlen. However you spend a significant part your time in the manufacturing site in Germany (Alsdorf/Jülich) to collect manufacturing information and coordinate activities with the German team. During the equipment design phase and the factory acceptance test, you travel to European suppliers locations (Germany, France and others). During the equipment installation in USA and the site acceptance tests, travel to USA is a part of the job.

 

Your tasks:

As the first designated person you manage and oversee the whole project.  

More concrete:

  • Delivering equipment specifications per plan;
  • Coordinating design reviews, FAT and SAT with us, customer and suppliers per plan;
  • Maintaining process documentation (Process simulation and PFMEA);
  • Delivering standard manufacturing procedures;
  • Coordinating the training of US colleagues in Europe and ensuring that they are qualified;
  • Coordinating our activities in USA up to the start of production;
  • Performing some tests on demand.


Your key deliverables are:

  • Defining equipment specification, coordinating European suppliers, coordinating design reviews and acceptance tests;
  • Leading improvements on process simulation and PFMEA;
  • Organizing the training in Europe of the American engineers and technicians;
  • Coordinating our activities in USA during the qualification phase up to the start of production;
  • Performing some of the vessels testing.

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar education;
  • 1+ years relevant experience in manufacturing equipment qualification or a similar role;
  • Knowledge/experience in lean manufacturing. Green Belt training or equivalent is a plus;
  • Relevant experience in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) is a plus;
  • Strong communication skills and highly analytical and decisive;
  • Stress resistant and well organized, hands on, can do mentality;
  • Good communication skills in English and German (B1 level) is required;
  • Experience in a start-up desirable (is a plus);
  • Lives in the area or willing to relocate.
